Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 1, 2026

Marin Catering Company ("Marin Catering Company," "we," "us," or "our") is an asset of Fresh Pulp Holdings LLC. We take the handling of personal information seriously, and this Privacy Policy is written in plain language so you know exactly what happens to the details you share with us when you browse this site, request a Marin catering quote, place an order, use our client portal, text or email our team, or hire us for an event anywhere from San Rafael to Sausalito.

1. What We Collect

Details you hand us directly. Most of what we hold is information you type into a quote form, send in an email or text, or give us over the phone while we plan your event. That typically includes your name, email address, phone number, company or organization, event date and start time, guest count, the venue address in Mill Valley, Tiburon, Novato, Petaluma, Santa Rosa or wherever your event lands, on-site contact names and numbers, gate codes and parking or loading instructions, menu picks, allergy and dietary notes, staffing and rental requests, billing details, and any notes, revisions, reviews or post-event feedback you send our way.

Details your browser shares. Like nearly every website, ours records basic technical information as you move through it: IP address, browser and device type, referring link or ad, pages viewed and time spent, approximate location, and data gathered through cookies, pixels and similar technology.

Payment details. Card data is captured and processed by our third-party payment processor inside their own secure environment. We do not set out to keep full card numbers on our systems, and the processor's own privacy and security terms govern that data.

2. Why We Use It

We use personal information to run a catering company, specifically to:

  • answer questions and build, revise and send quotes for Marin County events
  • confirm orders, deadlines, headcounts and missing details
  • deliver drop-off catering, attended and full-service catering, wedding catering, boxed meals, florals and rentals
  • schedule drivers, cooks, servers, bartenders, setup and breakdown for your venue
  • take deposits and payments, issue invoices, apply credits and process refunds
  • send confirmations, reminders, change notices and post-event follow-ups
  • improve our menus, pricing, website and internal operations
  • send occasional promotions where the law and your preferences allow
  • deter fraud, enforce our terms and protect the business
  • meet tax, accounting, insurance and other legal obligations

3. Who Else Sees It

We share information only where it is needed to operate, including with our payment processor, website hosting and software vendors, CRM and email delivery platforms, and the delivery drivers, event staff, rental houses and floral partners who help execute your event. We also share with our accountants, attorneys and insurers, with government agencies when the law requires it, and with a successor if the business is ever sold, merged, refinanced or reorganized.

We do not sell personal information in the everyday sense of that phrase. Some privacy statutes, however, define "sale" and "sharing" broadly enough to cover advertising cookies, pixels and analytics. Where that applies, you may opt out as described below.

4. Cookies and Tracking

Our site uses cookies, pixels, analytics and similar tools to keep pages working, remember your preferences, understand how visitors browse, and measure how our advertising performs. Your browser settings let you block or clear cookies, though some parts of the site may stop working correctly if you do.

5. Email, Text and Phone Contact

When you give us your email address or mobile number, you agree that we may use them to discuss your event, send quotes and confirmations, ask for a headcount, share invoices and payment links, and follow up afterward. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Reply STOP to any text to end text messages, or use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email to stop promotional email. We will still contact you about an active order or event you have booked with us.

6. How Long We Keep Records

Quotes, orders, event files, invoices and correspondence stay on file as long as needed to serve you and to satisfy tax, accounting, insurance and legal retention requirements. Records we no longer need are deleted or archived on a routine schedule.

7. Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, and we work with vendors who do the same. No website, email system or database can be guaranteed perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security of anything transmitted to us online.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold, request a copy of it, request corrections, request deletion, opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal information, limit the use of sensitive personal information, and be free from any penalty for exercising these rights. Contact us using the details below and we will respond as the law requires.

9. California Residents

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, including the right to know what we collect, use, disclose or share, the right to request correction or deletion, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, the right to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and the right not to be treated differently for exercising any of those rights. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization, and we may need to verify your identity before acting.

10. Children

Our services and this website are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

11. Third-Party Links

This site may link to venue websites, review platforms, payment pages, social profiles and other outside services. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies before you share information with them.

12. Out-of-State and Traveling Data

Our vendors and service providers may store or process information on servers located outside California or outside your state of residence. By using this site or hiring us, you understand that your information may be handled in those locations under this Policy.

13. Updates to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy as our services, technology or legal obligations change. The revised version takes effect when posted, and the effective date at the top will reflect the change. Continuing to use the site or our services after an update means you accept the current version.
